Hello, cccYouth Family! It’s February, and that can only mean one thing– RACE DAY FUNDRAISER.
This is our one and only Fundraiser that we do each year as a Youth Group. It is fun, easy, and very effective in raising the funds. If you’ve never been (or if you just need a refresher), here’s what you need to know:
WHAT: Before the Daytona 500, selling parking spaces to race attendees.
WHEN: Sunday February 21, 2016 – 7:00am-1:00pm
WHERE: Christ Community Church, 329 N Williamson Blvd. Daytona Beach
WHO: Any cccYouth who want money in their Youth Account for future Youth Events- This is especially helpful for events such as Summer Camp (hint hint wink wink).
ANYTHING ELSE?: Breakfast and Lunch will be provided! Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes and shoes, you will be standing and walking.
Next, we are starting to prep for Summer Camp! We are returning to S.O.S in Memphis, Tennessee for another week of serving the inner city neighborhoods of Memphis. Last year was a huge success and students came away deeply moved and changed. This year, we are taking our very own cccYouth Worship Band to lead the students at the camp in evening worship. We are so proud!
We have asked students who are interested in camp to start talking with their families and to sign up. There will be an information meeting for interested students and parents after Youth on Wednesday, Feb. 24 with Carlyn and Kyle. We need a firm commitment if your student(s) wants to go by March 1. The camp dates this year are June 12-18.
We are also seeking adult leaders (particularly men) to come and serve alongside our youth. If you, or someone you know, would be interested, please have them contact Carlyn or come to the information meeting! Please check out this video for more info on S.O.S.
We are so thankful for the work God is doing in the cccYouth. We are excited to be a part of these students’ lives and love watching them grow and develop into the young men and women God has ordained.
Thank you, cccParents, for allowing us to be a part of your family!
